President: Rob Worthing
After 20+ years in the Building Enclosure Consulting arena, Rob Worthing, RRC, CDT has recently taken the leap to the other side of this amazing industry. Rob is the District Manager for Siplast covering Northern California and Northern Nevada.
As a Registered Roofing Consultant (RRC) with a Construction Document Technology (CDT) certification Rob endeavors to find the perfect solution for his Clients’ roofing and waterproofing challenges.
Vice-President: Jonathan Stafford
Jonathan Stafford is a Senior Project Manager in the Building Technology Division of Simpson Gumpertz & Heger. Jonathan has 20 years of experience investigating and designing major commercial, institutional, and residential buildings for waterproofing issues, including roofs, plaza decks, and below-grade spaces. He consults with architects, contractors, and building owners in the design of the building envelope for new products and to analyze and repair water intrusion problems and construction defects for existing structures.
Jonathan is a licensed Professional Engineer in California and is an IIBEC Registered Roof Consultant.

Bill Gillette has been marketing and providing technical sales support for roofing and waterproofing systems over the past 25 years. Most recently relocating to the San Francisco Bay area in 2010.
Bill lives in Danville, CA, with his daughter, Isabella.
Director at Large – Consultant: Jerome L. Jeffers, II
Jerome Jeffers has over 40 years of experience in design services for the building industry. His building enclosure experience encompasses various project types, including educational, institutional, commercial, hospitality, and residential. Jerome is a recognized expert in roofing, waterproofing, and exterior wall consulting. Mr. Jeffers provides solutions to building weatherization issues and deterioration to building structures. Mr. Jeffers has earned the Registered Building Envelope Consultant registrations from IIBEC, the most prestigious certification for the roofing, waterproofing, and building envelope consultant practice.
Director at Large – Industry: Mark Swanson
Mark Swanson has over 15 years of experience in the construction industry. For nearly a decade, Mark held a variety of roles for a global waterproofing manufacturer, including Technical Services Coordinator and Technical Sales Manager for the Bay Area; Regional Manager of the Western US; and Regional Director for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, based in London, England. In 2017, he founded CALBERS to find optimal building envelope solutions for the Bay Area, one of the most complex and high-risk waterproofing environments.
As President of CALBERS, Mark provides innovative solutions. Working with some of the most sophisticated Owners, Consultants, Contractors, and Architects, Mark has been intimately involved in some of the most challenging waterproofing projects worldwide.
Director at Large-Industry: Jamie Rees
Jamie began his career in construction at the age of 15 years old when he began working for Michael Knight crafting custom staircases. Jamie earned his Fire Science Degree and attended Butte’s 38th Fire Academy, where he graduated with high honors. After college Jamie continued his work as a first responder for 5 years.
In 2008, Jamie became a Project Manager for DM Construction Services in SoCal. Jamie obtained his General Contractors License and launched his career in mitigating damages caused by water intrusion. In 2013, he joined Lowry’s Specialty Distribution, where was able to expand his product knowledge on exterior building envelope systems and solutions. He is now one of the founding partners of RAM Independent.
Director at Large-Consultant: Thomas Berger
Thomas (Tom) Berger has over 36 years of experience in the architectural design and construction industry. He is both a co-founder and the Managing Principal of DTR Consulting Services, Inc. Tom has sat on various professional organization boards, as well as being expert topic presenter, and believes in promoting professional development across the industry. Before founding DTR in 2002, his experience ranged from an Architectural Project Manager, Construction Administrator, Field Inspector, CM Program Manager, Carpenter, Facilities Planning Manager, Technical Specifier, Forensic Investigator, and Architectural Office Leader in various national A/E firms. Tom leads his firm in assisting design clients in the appropriate selection of building materials, including exterior façade assemblies, roof assemblies, and below-grade assemblies.
Director at Large-Consultant: Megan Cross-Wilkinson
Megan Cross-Wilkinson has 6 years of experience in the building science industry in existing buildings, new construction, and forensics/litigation. She currently works in the Oakland office at RDH Building Science Inc. and has managed projects in California, British Columbia, and Ontario, Canada. Megan holds a B.A.Sc. in Honours Environmental Engineering from the University of Waterloo in Canada. She is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists in British Columbia and the California Board for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors (PELS) in California.

David Markman P.E. (CA) is a Senior Building Science Consultant with Morrison Hershfield’s San Francisco Bay Area office. He has enjoyed providing building science consulting on buildings ranging from single-family homes to iconic museums in his twelve-year career. David’s focus is working with clients, including Architects, Contractors, and Owners, to understand each project’s unique circumstances and design appropriate solutions.
