The International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants is an international association of professional consultants, architects, and engineers who specialize in the specification and design of roofing, waterproofing, and building enclosure systems.
Since 1983 IIBEC members have offered unbiased design, repair planning, quality observance, legal testimony, and general roof management services. On April 1, 2019, RCI, Inc., a nonprofit association originally incorporated in 1983 as the Roof Consultants Institute (RCI), became the International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC; pronounced eye-bec).
The Northern California Chapter chartered in 2018 with the purpose to provide a medium at the local level for the advancement of the objectives of IIBEC – to promote closer relations and cooperation among the professionals, contractors, manufacturers, trade associations and societies which are engaged in or directly connected with, the building construction industry.
